PD Day Camp

There are currently no scheduled PD Day Camps scheduled - due to the covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

Day Camp Information 

Discovery Western is excited to offer PD Day Camp at Western University! Our programs run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and are $45 per participant. 

Two age groupings will be offered: 

  • Junior Engineers - Grades 1-3 
  • Inspiring Inventors - Grades 4-8 

The day will include a variety of different science and engineering projects, team building games as well as an exciting science magic show by our DW team. Extended care and a pizza lunch are available at an additional cost.

Extended Care

Early drop-off (8:00am to 9:00am) and late pick-up (4:00pm to 5:00pm) are available. During both times your child will be supervised by our staff and will be able to participate in a variety of activities. The cost for extended care is a flat rate of $10 for the day. 

Pizza Lunch 

An optional pizza lunch is available for $5, which gives your child a slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza, a juice box and a bag of chips.

Camp Policy on Registration Deposit, Cancellations & Changes 

A 20% non-refundable registration deposit applies per camper when they are registered for camp. After that to receive a refund, all cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 10 business days prior to the camper's start date. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 10 business days prior to the camper's start date. No refunds will be made in the event of university closure.

If you choose to change camps (either week, location or age group) this must be submitted in writing a least 10 business days prior to the camper's start date and a $15 administration fee will be charged. Campers are not permitted to switch camps less than 10 days prior to their start date unless there are extenuating circumstances as approved by the Director of Discovery Western and the Outreach Programs Coordinator of Western Engineering.
